I dont know if this will help but I added aluminum heat shield tape to the bottom of the orange polyester wrap that comes with the toaks. I saw that people were using it as a mitt for cooking. Thought the tape would help some. The wrap if extended holds a Portable vvgcs Silicone PourOver Coffee Filter and the sea to summit collapsible cup perfectly into the toaks. I put the metal lid at the top and use a x rubber band that i got the idea from you. Works with the toaks 750 and 550 ml but the 550 wont hold the stove so I abandon it. Using the 750 now and the Firemaple g2. Now if only I could figure out the spoon to somehow attach. I just leave it loose. They make extended spoon but they arent small enough to fit. They extend like 3ft. Like a gag gift. Lol.
